We’re Daleska and Sam, the makers behind Miko Tiramisu on the Sunshine Coast. Miko is our way of sharing a dessert we fell in love with, together.
From Australia to Chile,
and home again.
It started with a spoonful.
Our love for tiramisu began in Australia, going out together and trying it wherever we could. That love came along on our travels through Peru, Argentina and Chile, with plenty more tiramisu along the way.
Eventually, tasting it wasn’t enough. We wanted to make it ourselves. Before long, we were making tiramisu almost every week: for each other, to share with friends, and for birthdays. A favourite dessert had become a bit of an obsession.
Something sweet, made to share.
Cooking for each other has always been one of our ways of showing love. Tiramisu became a little part of that: the comfort of making something together, enjoying it together, and sharing it with people we care about.
While we were living in Chile, the idea for Miko began to take shape. When we returned to Australia, we decided to turn that shared love into something real, and bring our tiramisu to more people.
We’ve put so much care into perfecting our recipes. Our hope is that you can taste that care, and feel a little of the happiness we feel every time we make, eat and share tiramisu.
